Our Mission

The mission of Moorhead Catholic is to share the joy and hope of the Gospel, building communities that inspire students to embrace a living relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church.

Who We Are

We are a leadership team composed of: a priest, a missionary, an administrative assistant, and student missionaries, and we are “all-in” 100% when it comes to the Mission of Christ and living the Christian Life.

As His disciples, our goal is to bring people to Jesus in the fullness of the Church, wherever they are in life. We do this, knowing that we are, as St. Mother Teresa would say, “a pencil in the hand of God,” and that it is truly the Holy Spirit carrying out His mission through us.

What We Offer

A few opportunities we offer for college students to grow in their relationship with Christ are:

  • Mass
  • Eucharistic Adoration
  • Reconciliation
  • Assisting at liturgies by being extraordinary ministers of holy communion, hospitality, altar servers, vocalists, musicians, or lectors. *
  • Weekly Men’s and Women’s Bible studies
  • Monthly Formation Days
  • Retreats
  • National FOCUS Conferences
  • Household Program **

We also encourage our students to build authentic, Christ-centered friendships with one another. In-order to do so throughout the year, there are different social events, such as Sunday Mass at 11:45 am with a meal to follow, our Monday and Wednesday 8:30 pm Masses with socials and games (Mon.) or Praise and Worship (Wed.) to follow, service projects, and one-on-one mentoring/discipleship. ***

*If you would like to help with any of these parts of the liturgy, contact us, and we will set up a training session for you, and add you to our list of ministry helpers. Thanks!

**Check out the “Household” tab for more information.

***If you would like to learn more about discipleship, contact your friendly missionary, Mary! It’s one of her favorite things 🙂
